Seward Inclusive Access

WELCOME TO SCCC INCLUSIVE ACCESS!

If you have enrolled in a course that has selected an Inclusive Access title, your required course materials will be available the first day of class based on your enrollment in the course. Your student account will be charged for your Inclusive Access course materials. If you decide to withdraw from the course for a full refund within the drop period, your account will be refunded. It’s that easy. If you already have a payment plan set up with the Bursar’s Office, please call 620-417-1080 to adjust your payments after your account has been charged.

HOW MUCH DOES SCCC INCLUSIVE ACCESS COST?

The price varies depending on the course materials chosen by the instructor, but most Digital Access prices are lower than purchasing the material directly through the publisher and usually 50% to 70% less than the cost of the printed textbook.

HOW DO I PAY FOR SCCC INCLUSIVE ACCESS?

Upon the last day to drop a class, your student account will be charged for your Inclusive Access course materials. If you decide to withdraw from the course prior to the last day for full refund, your student account will not be charged for your Digital Access course materials.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY MATERIALS?

Inclusive Access materials usually consist of access to a publisher learning system chosen by your instructor, along with an e-book.  These materials are typically available once your login to your course through Canvas.   Your instructor will provide specific directions or communication on exactly how your Inclusive Access materials are accessed.

WHAT IF I DROP THE COURSE?

When you drop the course by the full-refund drop date, your account will be refunded.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN SCCC INCLUSIVE ACCESS OR HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED MY COURSE MATERIAL ANOTHER WAY?

SCCC has worked with publishers to obtain your course materials at the lowest available cost. These materials are required by your instructor. If you have already purchased your course materials from another source or do not want to participate in Inclusive Access, you will need to OPT-OUT of the program by the drop date and be sure that you’re able to obtain the requried materials on your own.  Some courses may not have any codes to purchase from third-party vendors (Amazon, Chegg, E-Bay, etc.) so please be aware in some cases, opting out will make passing your course difficult.

HOW DO I OPT-OUT?

To opt-out, simply respond to the email sent to your SCCC student email account by the last day for a full refund. You will receive a separate email for each Inclusive Access course that you are enrolled in. Please respond to each separately. Emails are typically sent the week before classes begin. If you opt-out by the last day for full refund, access to the online content will be turned off and your student account will be refunded.

I PREFER A PRINTED TEXTBOOK, CAN I STILL PURCHASE ONE?

Your Inclusive Access course includes an eBook. However, if you prefer a printed textbook, you are welcome to purchase or rent a traditional textbook from the Saints Bookstore. Visit www.saintsbookstore.com for new, used and rental prices.

I HAVE FURTHER QUESTIONS, WHO DO I CONTACT?

If you’re having trouble or unable to get clarification from your instructor, please email the Saints Bookstore bookstore@sccc.edu or call 620-417-1150.
